Welcome to our series of discussions about Dave Hunt’s book An Urgent Call to a Serious Faith. As we’ve mentioned in our last few programs, the term “faith” as it’s viewed today hardly seems to go with the word “serious.” For most people, faith is simply another term for “wishful thinking.” But that’s not the way the Bible describes it. According to Hebrews:11:1, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” In Acts:1:3, we’re told that Jesus showed Himself alive after his passion by “many infallible proofs, being seen of the disciples 40 days,” and so forth.
