God’s Word is true from the beginning to the end! Welcome back to “Encounter God’s Truth” and another lesson from our new series called “Isaiah: The LORD is Salvation.” This week, our teacher, Dr. John Whitcomb, turns to the beginning of the book to present part one of his sermon, “Hope amidst Rebellion” Host Wayne Shepherd expresses thanks on behalf of Whitcomb Ministries to Middletown Bible Church in Middletown, Connecticut, for allowing us to bring this audio to you. As we begin, Isaiah opens chapter one with a chronological reference to four kings of Judah. Dr. Whitcomb provides a brief explanation of the historical context of this passage, and follows that with teaching on the importance of understanding “the chronology of the Bible.” From there, we go into the difficult issue of the value of Old Testament sacrifices. May the Lord bless you this holiday weekend as you hear and heed His Word!
